The Network on Culture encourages membership by researchers, educators, and community members who are interested in recognizing, protecting, and supporting intangible and material cultures, cultural heritages, and cultural environments around the world, especially those of cultures under threat, and who are willing to work in a collegial manner.
In order to become a member, please provide the information requested below in an email to info@networkonculture.ca. We will immediately acknowledge receipt of your application and provide a formal response to your application within sixty days of receipt.
Membership fees are due upon acceptance of your application. For those applications received from 1 January to 30 September, annual membership fees are due at time of acceptance. For applications received between 1 October and 31 December, first year fees will be folded into the following year's fee, so that only one year of fees is paid.
Annual membership fee covers 1 January to 31 December.
Fees
- Regular Membership fees: $ 75 per annum
- Membership fees for Students, Emeritae, Community Elders, and those approaching us on a case-by-case basis: $ 35 per annum
Membership Rights and Responsibilities
Members are expected to agree with our Mission Statement, our Mandate, and our Guiding Principles. Members receive: our newsletter, access to our conferences, connection with our network, a vote in the affairs of the Network on Culture, and the opportunity to conduct scholarly research in a formally recognized organization.
